Morning everyone,

Good news for the town's green spaces this week, plus a few road updates to be aware of before heading out.

🚨 Traffic & Roads

Walmley Road (August 3–4): Road closure for road markings near the Thimble End Road and Elm Road roundabout, outside St John's Church Hall.

Aldridge Road (August 8–18): Staffordshire County Council mobile highway repairs near the Lakeside junction. The road will be fully closed for two days within this window — worth keeping an eye on if that's part of your regular route.

Ongoing:

  • Rosemary Hill Road (until August 6): Two overlapping sets of utility works near Walsall Road and Roman Road junctions

  • Monmouth Drive (August 5–7): Two-way signals for footway works alongside Powell's Pool

  • Eachelhurst Road (August 11–13): Lane closures outside 224 Eachelhurst Road near The Fairways junction
