A three-day Food & Drink Festival has been announced for The Parade in September, and Moor Hall has a big bank holiday weekend coming up on the terrace.

🚧 Traffic & Roads

Eachelhurst Road (August 24–26): Road closure for tree pruning and arboriculture works along the central reservation from Hansons Bridge Road up past number 107.

Clarence Road (August 19–21): Road closure for carriageway subsidence between St George's Court and Weymouth Drive. Diversion in place.

Mill Street (August 20–21): Road closure for LED upgrades affecting the full road and High Street/Station Street intersections.

Ongoing:

Little Sutton Lane (until September 11): Cadent Gas pipe replacement, multi-way signals near Four Oaks Station

Slade Road (until September 3): Subsidence repairs, two-way signals near Joel's Convenience

Wylde Green Road (August 20–21): Multi-way signals for LED upgrades

Jockey Road (August 19–21): Multi-way signals for LED upgrades

Highbridge Road (August 20–21): Two-way signals for lamp column repairs

Sutton Coldfield Food & Drink Festival: A three-day artisan food festival is coming to The Parade from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September. Independent street food traders, craft stalls and live entertainment in the town centre.

Chester Road Murder Investigation: West Midlands Police confirm a 20-year-old man has been charged and remanded in custody following the fatal stabbing on Chester Road earlier this month. Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.

💛 Community Spotlight: Café Del Moor at Moor Hall

Moor Hall Hotel & Spa is hosting its popular Café Del Moor terrace session on Sunday 30 August — an Ibiza-style afternoon with DJs Paul Wadlow, Jimmy Kennedy and Sam Homer, plus live sax from Cosmos Sax and percussion from Soz. A second date has been added for Sunday 13 September with Andy Sax.

The Groove Cartel (Town Hall): Sunday 23 August, 3pm. Free admission afternoon blues session in the lounge.
