Harvey Norman officially opens: The Australian retail giant has officially launched its new UK headquarters inside the Gracechurch Centre. Former mayor Sir Andy Street attended the opening this week.
£25m Gateway scheme progressing: Works on the Lower Parade and Brassington Avenue improvements are continuing as part of the wider Sutton Gateway regeneration project.
Ramada hotel update: Sutton’s MP confirmed this week that discussions are continuing regarding the future use of the Ramada hotel, though no official closure date has been announced.
Election results: In Four Oaks ward, Conservative councillors Mark Roberts and Simon Ward retained their seats in the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council elections.
💛 Community Spotlight: Skye’s the Limit
A local fundraiser is being organised next month to help support Skye, a 21-year-old Sutton resident living with severe stage 4 endometriosis.
The event is aiming to raise money towards life-changing surgery and will feature live music, raffles and auctions.

Mere Green Road: Temporary lights remain in place near Mere Green Primary after a vehicle damaged traffic signals.
Slade Road: Temporary traffic signals are active throughout the weekend for South Staffordshire Water works.
Birmingham Road: Utility works near Maney are expected to finish Friday night.
Next week — plan ahead:
Chester Road: Multi-way temporary signals from Monday to Friday for LED lighting upgrades.
Walsall Road (Little Aston): Temporary lights Monday–Wednesday for pothole repairs.
College Road: Lane closure near Banners Gate roundabout for Virgin Media works.
Streetly Lane: Overnight closure starting Wednesday evening for Severn Trent Water works.
👉 Mere Green Road is likely to be the main bottleneck this weekend, with Chester Road and Walsall Road slower than usual next week.
